    COLUMBIA, S.C. – February 20, 2013 – Gov. Nikki Haley along with officials from Recleim, a start-up recycler of appliances and e-waste materials, today announced that the company will establish its first recycling plant in Aiken County. During the RecyclonomicsSC event today at the Statehouse, Recleim committed to a $40.6 million investment that is expected to generate 200 new jobs.

    COLUMBIA, S.C. – October 25, 2012 – Domtar Corporation today announced plans to re-purpose its facility in Bennettsville, Marlboro County to align with shifting market demands in the paper industry. The company plans to invest $30 million in the plant over the next year as part of a previously announced long-term supply agreement with Appleton Papers Inc. (“Appleton”) of Appleton, Wisconsin.

    COLUMBIA, S.C. – October 11, 2012 – McGill Environmental Systems of N.C. Inc., the U.S. Composting Council's Composter of the Year for 2011, plans to open its seventh organics recycling facility by the end of 2013, locating it in Berkeley County, S.C. The company expects to hire up to 25 people to staff the facility.
